6 Key Tips on How to Leverage AI in Your Business

Using AI is easier than you might think – here’s some ways to use it for your business.

There’s a lot of talk about AI these days. And while it can be much to take in and at times confusing, there’s a lot of positive things to take away from the conversation – like how it can help your business. Whether you’re new to the game or looking to stay sharp in this fast-paced environment, we have some tips on how to leverage AI for your business.

Start With a Business Problem

It’s common to resort to AI tools before knowing why you need them. First, identify where your business can benefit most. Look for repetitive, time-consuming or data-heavy tasks, such as drafting content, organizing information or analyzing data, then explore the tools available to you. Starting with a specific challenge makes it easier to determine whether AI is actually adding value.

Start Small and Measure the Results

You don’t need to transform your entire business overnight. Choose one area of your business and see what you would look to achieve from it. For example, you might measure how much time your team saves on a particular task or whether AI helps improve response times. Use the results to determine where AI could expand your workflow.

Use AI to Support Your Team

AI works best when paired with a human touch. Encourage employees to use it for help with brainstorming, research, summarizing information, brief writing or automating routine work. From there, your employees can apply their expertise and make the final decisions.

Establish Clear Guidelines

Create simple rules for how your team should use AI. Guidelines can cover which tools are approved what information can be entered into them and how AI-generated content should be verified. Always ensure your employees review work made with AI tools before it gets sent out – it can be pretty obvious when it is used. Clear expectations can help employees use AI confidently while reducing potential risks.

Protect Sensitive Information

Think carefully about the information you share with AI tools. Confidential business information, customer data, financial information and intellectual property may require additional safeguards. Make data privacy and security part of your AI strategy from the beginning.

Keep Experimenting

AI is evolving quickly, and new applications are emerging regularly. Encourage your team to share useful applications and lessons learned. Review your AI strategy periodically and look for additional opportunities to improve workflows.

And remember, great power comes with great responsibility. AI can be an incredible tool to benefit our work and productivity, but it should never get in the way of what’s important – human connection (we’re big fans of that at Just Meeting Rooms).
